Part of our Treat on Friday was to have more sugar! But the Dragonflies thouroughly enjoyed the chance to be creative and then eat their creation! I think you will agree they look yummy!

We have been looking at a variety of containers and investigating which holds more or less. We did this water and sand and have even put normal household objects in order from what holds most to what holds least. Take a peek at some photos.

This week we have been exploring the weight of objects. We have used the language lighter and heavier and ordered from the lightest to the heaviest. We spoke about what kind of things influence weight eg a new gluestick vs a gluestick that has been used. and how the shape of things can impact their weight. The Dragonfleis loved the opporutnity to investigate mass using the scale. Take a look below.

My first activity was throwing the ball on the wall and catch it again. The next activity was so fun. On this activity we got to ride little scooters. We had a little race and I won. The next activity was soccer I was good but the girls won. By Will R
I really like the games because they were fun. My favourite one was the running one. I liked working with Oskar. By Bobby
On Wednesday my favourite thing was skipping. I did throwing the ball and catching it. We rolled the bean bag into the hoop. We had running races. By Khya
On Wednesday my favourite was soccer. You had to score goals and the goal keeper had to stop me from kicking a goal. He went easy on us. I kicked 2 goals. Oscar and I went on very mini scooters. Oscar won. I had a lot of fun with Oscar and Oscar had a lot of fun too. By Lachie
Today IDM did Tabloid Games. It was tremendously exciting! My favourite one was the footy one. My second favourite was the soccer one. My third favourite was the running one with Lucas’ brother, Jason. By Max

This week we are investigating Fractions. We spoke abou a half yesterday and whole. Fractions are best understood when they are related to real life. eg half my sandwich. If I eat two hlaves of my snadwich I have eaten my whole sandwich. Make sure you continue your investigation of fractions at home. Cooking is a great way half a cup etc!
